Volunteer at The Woodlands, today and every day!
This week we’re taking the opportunity to give the grounds a much needed winter spruce-up. Join us Wednesday, January 27th and Friday, January 29th from 11am - 1pm for volunteer clean up sessions, and read on for what YOU can do at The Woodlands to keep the grounds beautiful, whenever you may be visiting.
What you’ll need: Your own work gloves and water (remember to stay hydrated!)
What The Woodlands will provide: Larger tools, guidance, and a full to-do list
What we’ll do during the designated clean up days:
We’ll meet at the front gate and team up to pick up trash along Woodland Ave and other areas of build up. We’ll also rake leaves for composting, pick up sticks from the cemetery sections and pile them along the road, remove ivy from tree trunks, maintain running path erosion control, and learn how to find and squish Spotted Lanternfly eggs (a great way to relieve stress).
Rather work on your own schedule? Here are jobs you can do on your own throughout the week: Pick up trash and deposit it in our dumpster (located in the carriage shed, next to the stable), pick up sticks from throughout the cemetery and pile them along the roads.
