A REFRESHING TAKE ON SHAKESPEARE

I, Peaseblossom is the story of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream told through the fevered dreams of a neglected fairy. Peaseblossom, one of Lady Titania’s fairies has only four lines with a total of five words in the entire play! It is a funny, interactive and sometimes anarchic piece of family theatre that excels in establishing a relationship between the audience and the performer.

This solo piece was written and originally performed by UK theatre artist Tim Crouch. Curio company member and co-founding artistic director of PAC (Philadelphia Artist Collective), Dan Hodge, directs long time Curio company member Brian McCann as Peaseblossom. Brian has been in many Curio productions and is an actor-about-town in Philadelphia theaters. He was last seen in Curio's Barrymore Recommended production of Waiting for Godot as Vladimir.

Performances are September 13 ~ 17 at 7PM in The Woodlands Cemetery located at 4000 Woodland Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19104.There are no rain dates. This show is FREE to the public. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on and prepare to laugh!

Please note: No cars are permitted into the Cemetery gates, but there is free street parking all around. Also, please be aware that only the first 200 people are permitted into the performance per night.
