Promenade (Noun)
a leisurely walk or ride especially in a public place for pleasure or display
Inspired by the works of Jane Austen and the English estates The Woodlands was designed after, the Jane Austen Promenade is a chance to take a stroll like Julie Andrews is narrating your life. Enjoy a Maypole with the Germantown Country Dancers, first-come first-served regency crafts and light snacks made by ‘Lil Pop Shop (BYO picnics are welcome!) all while exploring William Hamilton's English Country Estate. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
Walking Etiquette - All attendees who are not of appropriate courting age are required to have an adult chaperone and remain together on the paved route when not partaking in activities.
Ticket Prices: Pay what you can: $5 - $30
(For a sliding scale to work, those who have access to financial resources should pay more, in order for those who have less financial resources to be able to access services.)
By reserving a ticket you agree to adhere to Covid-19 safety guidelines including, but not limited to social distancing, wearing a mask and not attending if feeling ill.
In case of inclement weather, the promenade will be rescheduled to the following afternoon, Sunday, April 24th from 11:00am - 1:00pm
